How to Clone HDD to Nvme m.2

To clone an IDE HDD with an operating system (OS) to an NVMe M.2 using Macrium Reflect, follow these steps:

Summery:

  1. Download and install Macrium Reflect on your computer.
  2. Connect the NVMe M.2 to your computer and make sure it's recognized by the system.
  3. Open Macrium Reflect and select "Clone this disk..." option from the home screen.
  4. Select the source disk (IDE HDD) that you want to clone and click on "Next."
  5. Select the destination disk (NVMe M.2) and click on "Next."
  6. Review the summary of the cloning process and click "Finish" to start the cloning process.
  7. Wait for the cloning process to complete and then safely remove the NVMe M.2 from your computer.
Note: It is important to backup all important data on the source disk before cloning, as the process will overwrite the entire destination disk. Also, you may need to adjust your computer's boot order in the BIOS/UEFI to boot from the NVMe M.2 after cloning, as the original boot order may still be set to boot from the IDE HDD.
