KVO can be arrange in between .1ml/h to 10ml/h or closer range as above.
The machine deliver predefine small rate to keep the vain open until next IV therapy start.
Unless blood get clot in the vain and give occlusion alarm when next IV therapy start using that cannula.
Most of the IV therapy machines automatically start KVO at the end of infusion.
